EUROPE - CHALLENGES AND RESPONSES
The fifth edition of the symposium “Europe – Challenges and Responses: European History, Culture and Civilization in the Contemporary Context” was held on 10–11 September 2026 in the “King Ferdinand” Hall of the Arad City Hall, as well as in the ceremonial halls of some of Arad’s most prestigious high schools: “Moise Nicoară” National College and “Preparandia – Dimitrie Țichindeal” National College.
The symposium provided a platform for debate and rigorous analysis of the developments and tensions that are currently shaping the European Union.
The symposium, organized by the Prefect Institution – Arad County, Arad County Council, Municipality of Arad, Arad County Cultural Center, "Alexandru D. Xenopol" County Library in Arad, and the Arad Museum Complex, brought together experts and opinion leaders from journalism, history, and diplomacy to identify the political, economic, and cultural challenges of Europe and to discuss possible strategies and solutions.
